Sorry it has been a few days, but I have had very little time lately. The weekend was busy, as I had to learn a whole lot of the concept behind molecular gastronomy and molecular mixology - although those terms are used more by the media than by the chefs and bartenders onto whose work these tags are hung. In short, I am doing a little diversification and getting into the restaurant industry again; a little bartending just to dip my feet in those social waters once more. The fringe benefits that come with standing behind a bar and serving well-thought out drinks to trendy people with too much money to stay home is the closest I will ever come to being treated like a sports star, I am sure - unless that whole rock band idea pans out one day.
Lots has happened in the past few days in sports, though…Richard Zednik had his throat cut, but he is going to be OK, they say.
Inside the NFL was cancelled. HBO probably wasn’t paying the NFL enough for the video clips or something.
The Miami Dolphins cut their team in half. Is that news?
Shaquille O’Neal had his first practice with the Phoenix Suns, showing no ill effects from the hip injury that has been the latest setback to his game. He was a little tired, though, it seems. Still, the Yardstick for the Suns at Warriors game on Wednesday has the visiting team favored by six points at the time of this writing.
Best of all, though, is Chris Bosh in his new role as Blaine Harrington, the Oxford educated interviewer.

Hey. Was wondering what was up! How are “The Other” sports going in the football offseason?

Other sports are going along great, thanks. Of course, it is hard to generate the exitement that football has through other venues, but March Madness is gonna be great again this season, I believe. Hopefully, there’s a few more than the record-low 3 upsets that happened last year as that always throws a few wrenches into things.
