Week 2 NFL Football Preseason

by FanYard Blake  |  August 17th, 2008

At 7-6 up until tonight’s action, which is pitting Detroit at Cincinnati and the Patriots at Tampa Bay, the preseason Yardsticks are hovering at near .500 through these glorified practice games. That is about what one should expect, considering the fact that it is very tough to know which players will actually be on the field and whether or not the coaches will care about winning at all.

That makes it all the more impressive that, in Saturday’s ten NFL preseason matches, two Yardsticks were right on the money (Washington Redskins at New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts at Atlanta Falcons), while two others were just one or two points away from perfection (Minnesota Vikings at Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks).

For tonight’s tilts, both the Bengals and the Pats are favored to win by three on their respective Yardsticks.

Please note that college football is now available for picking for the 2008-09 season on FanYard.
