I love this kid. I wish he played for the Niners, but whaddya do? Colt Brennan, the reason I ended up watching most of the Hall of Fame game on Sunday, did not disappoint. The kid who brought Hawaii college football from the fringe to the bigger stage had a great first outing - even if it was against Indianapolis backups.
As far as the Yardstick for the game, it was low, but for the right team, as Washington gave Jim Zorn a first-ever-game-as-a-coach present with a 30-16 win over the Colts. Who called it? Yeah, but this one was really a gimme…and they did win by much more than I thought.
I am looking forward to one day having Brennan on my fantasy football team.

I guess we’ll never know if Martz was in favor of drafting Colt, but one thing I’m fairly certain of is that Colt would have thrived under Martz and his system. Think 1999 Kurt Warner with more game.

Colt looked like a gun-slinging mini-Bert Jones. He will back up Campbell (whom I predict will come into his own - bigtime this year.).
Here’s wishing you all a great football and fantasy football season. Cheers…
