NFL Football: Peyton Manning’s Knee

by FanYard Blake  |  August 24th, 2008

Proving how hard it is to predict what will happen in the NFL preseason, the FanYard Yardstick has only picked a total of three winners out of the 14 NFL Week 3 Preseason games thus far. With only two games left before the final week of warm-ups, FanYard will fall below .500 for the preseason. Thank goodness this exercise is just that, and will not count towards regular season totals!

Tonight, we’ll get to see the Bills at Colts, a game that is predicted to have the Colts win by six points. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning will continue to be absent as he tries to recover from surgery to remove a bursa sac from his left knee. While both teams have question marks, Manning’s absence raises the biggest one on a team with many injuries to contend with.

Not that Manning was known for his bulbous forehead ability to scramble to begin with, but the Colts best hope he is not slowed down even more by this messy knee. Well, them and fans of football, too.

Here’s a Peyton Manning blog for those who are not fans of the Colts quarterback.
