NFL Football Friday Preseason

Tonight, the Tennessee Titans came back to win 17-16 at home versus the Oakland Raiders and improve to 2-0 in the 2008 NFL preseason. It was a competition that pitted the first quarterback draft picks in the 2006 and 2007 NFL draft in Vince Young and JaMarcus Russell, respectively. As this preseason has shown, both remain works in progress as far as getting the passing game working for their teams. Unfortunately, the 2008 NFL schedule will not let us see these two face off in a game that actually means something.

The Yardstick for this game predicted the Young-led Titans would be winners by a seven-point margin.

In Week 3 for these two teams, we’ll see the Titans at Falcons and the Cardinals at Raiders.
