In the 16 NFL Week 1 of preseason games, the Yardstick correctly predicted eight of the 16 winning teams. Not bad, all things considered. If we include the first game, the Hall of Fame game, FanYard users are just above .500 so far.
To close out the first full week of preseason NFL action, the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Green Bay Packers by a 20-17 score. Green Bay has three quarterbacks right now who have yet to start a regular season NFL game! Wow. Welcome to the uncertainty that most of the NFL has had to deal with on a regular basis over the past decade and a half that Favre has been in Green Bay.
Coming up next are two games this Thursday. Pittsburgh at Buffalo will kick of the second week of preseason, while Carolina at Philadelphia will wind up Thursday’s action. Currently, Pittsburgh and Philly are slight favorites on the Yardstick for those games.
