Monday NFL Football_And Kyle Orton

by FanYard Blake  |  August 18th, 2008

There was little action in preseason NFL tonight, with the only tilt being that of this year’s darling playoff-hopeful team, the Cleveland Browns at New York Giants, the defending Super Bowl champs. While FanYard had the visiting Browns pegged to win by three based upon the game’s Yardstick, the Giants were the team that won by three, 37-34.

The game had a few highlights, as you might imagine from the 71-point contest, including Browns receiver Syndric Steptoe pulling in a touchdown pass from Brady Quinn that he had to knock out of the hands of Giants defensive back Kevin Dockery.

Browns quarterback Derek Anderson left the game in the 2nd with an apparent concussion.

In other NFL news, it is being reported that Kyle Orton has won the starting quarterback job for the Chicago Bears, knocking out fantasy team killer QB Rex ‘the sex machine’ Grossman.
