Graham Harrell, the NCAA Division I career leader in touchdown passes with Texas Tech, has been passed on by the NFL and has agreed to a contract in the CFL, signing with the Saskatchewan Rough Riders today.
Harrell, once touted as a Heisman candidate, was not invited to the Heisman awards in New York, then was not drafted by the NFL in April. He did have a workout with the Cleveland Browns, but failed to land a job on that team, which already has two quarterbacks being paid as starters in Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn.

Graham Harrell the Red Raider is now a Rough Rider.
Strangely, at least to me, the San Francisco 49ers did not even give a tryout to the man who had made so many completions to 49ers first-round draft pick, wide receiver Michael Crabtree. I just don’t get it.
