The Phoenix Suns were embarrassed at home today, losing by thirty points to the Detroit Pistons who, in Shaq’s words, “came out with a lot of energy, more energy than we did.” Good eye, man. Good eye. It was only the Suns’ third loss to an Eastern opponent in 25 games this season, and the end of their 11-game winning streak versus the East. The Yardstick for this game called for a 6-point victory for Phoenix.
In three games played since the trade that brought the big man over from the Miami Heat, the Suns are just 1-2. People are going to be very wary very soon if things don’t start looking up. Phoenix next gets the chance to showcase their trade skills and new lineup when they travel to Memphis to take on the Vancouver Grizzlies on Tuesday.
